About Leeuwtechniek
In the years following the Second World War, O. de Leeuw was already trading in hydraulic components. As much of this business served the agricultural sector, it was transferred to a separate company in 1969: BV Leeuwtechniek.

Growth and specialisation
Over the following decades, Leeuwtechniek grew from a specialised trading division into a nationwide importer and wholesaler of hydraulic and pneumatic components in the Netherlands.

A specialist serving customers throughout the Netherlands
Our customers include machine manufacturers, agricultural businesses, yacht builders and industrial companies, including businesses operating in the offshore sector.
With its broad product range, extensive stock and technical expertise, Leeuwtechniek has become a trusted partner to customers across a wide range of industries.

Modernisation and continued growth
A major milestone in Leeuwtechniek's development was its move to new premises in Zwolle, the Netherlands, in 2013.
The introduction of an automated high-bay warehouse and Kardex storage systems replaced the company's traditional shelving.
This modernisation enabled Leeuwtechniek to expand its product range further and optimise its logistics processes.

Leeuwtechniek today
Leeuwtechniek celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019.
Today, the company is known throughout the Netherlands as a specialist in hydraulics and pneumatics, with a strong focus on technical expertise, high-quality service and extensive stock availability.
About the O. de Leeuw Group
The history of the O. de Leeuw Group dates back to 1810, when Hendrik Wijnekes opened a hardware store on Diezerstraat in Zwolle under the name In den blauen saegh, an old Dutch name meaning “At the Blue Saw”.
Oeds de Leeuw joined the company in 1872. After taking over the business, he continued it under his own name, O. de Leeuw, from 1890 onwards.

Purveyor to the Royal Household since 1895
In the late nineteenth century, the company grew from a local shop into a wholesaler serving blacksmiths, agricultural engineering firms and machine factories in the north and east of the Netherlands.
In 1895, O. de Leeuw was awarded the Dutch designation Hofleverancier, or Purveyor to the Royal Household. This was more than an honorary distinction: the company actually supplied materials to the Dutch Crown Estates.
The designation has been renewed at every subsequent review.
The group today
From the late 1950s onwards, several business activities gradually became independent companies. These specialist businesses now make up the O. de Leeuw Group:
Together, these companies build on more than two centuries of enterprise, craftsmanship and technical expertise.
